Mondays are for memories: The day my human adopted me – Part 1

It’s nice to look back to happy memories sometimes. I recounted how my human adopted me.

Here are some pictures of my first days with my human and her then-boyfriend, now-husband, human, whatever. Since I was very cute and little (am still cute but a little bigger), my human nicknamed me “P’tite Crevette” (Lil’ Shrimp). She’s still calling me that today.

We have more pics but I will share them next week! Have a wonderful week everyone!

Look at me already exploring my new Grouik’s and Milou’s territory.

Oh, what are these? They look fun to play with!

So this is what my furry friends were talking about? A furrever home?

This is how small (and cute) I was (still am) (cute that is).

And finally for today, this is the picture my human put in my little passport. I was in the arms of my human’s Mom.

  1. So moving, Dear Texas!! What beautiful memories! Of course you are still cute, with your beautiful eyes and pink nose…. :-) but small you were like an angel, an angel with whiskers, so adorable… Lot of Hugs!!

  2. Texas you sure were an adorable little guy when you first came to live with your humans…..now you’re all grown up and looking handsome as can be (just ask the girl kitties who visit you every day!!). Your baby pictures are so cute and guess what – I wore a harness when I was a baby too and my Mom still has it all these years later. It sure looks LITTLE now – bet I couldn’t even get my head into it much less my 14 lb. body! Tee Hee

Will enjoy hearing more of your story my friend……

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

  3. What a little cutie you are!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words you left on my blog last week when my human sissy was in the hospital. Things didn’t look very good on Friday and the doctors were saying she might need surgery and a transfusion. Then over the weekend her blood levels returned to normal and she might be released from the hospital tomorrow. Miracles do happen and I do believe all the prayers from Blogville and the Cat Blogosphere had a lot to do with it.

  4. Oh Texas…if you ever get tired of NYC…my Dad says “come on out to San Francisco Bay Area”…live with us! Dad has a very special spot in his heart and it is colors ginger and white and it says “male kitties”…his special before me kitties were both just like you…Barney and Boris…paw pats, Savvy

  5. ptite crevette- that is the most adorable nickame i’ve ever heard! your human is so creative!
one of my kitties is called cookie-monster. and another one ive nicknamed muffin face, because he’s sweet and round. and one is crazykittyloki. i think that’s self explanatory :)
