Finally an udpade: I won some Fancy Feast Mornings and… a newbie!

Hiya Furriends!

Sorry again for the long silence. After her seminar thingie, my human and I played a lot, like you could see on my last post, and then she began having some “important” stuff to do, of which I will tell you more later in this post. You’re going to be surprised! I know I was!!

First, an update on Grouik’s page: it will be up soon. The humans are making videos of all the footage (vocab builder) they have. I will let you know when it is ready.

Secondly, I received several awards from furriends: THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH! Sorry for being so late. I will accept them in a special post on Tuesday (because Mondays are for memories you know, and I already missed one, and I owe you Part 2 of my adoption day).

Thirdly, I want to send a HUGE thank you to Sparkle that had a giveaway of Fancy Feast Mornings a while back and I was one of the winners! I received it this past week. There was my name on the package! Look:

Okay. Here is my prize, this is morning and we’re still in bed. Wake up and open these for me now.

Thanks to the humans at Nestle Purina for this yummy package. Milou cannot have it (because of his health diet). But me and the kiddie love it.

Yeah, that’s right, that’s my fourth point, the humans being busy: I’m no longer the youngest member of our family. Sniff.



Friday evening, they came back home with a kitten! Look at him:

His name is Frisco. He cannot stop moving! Except when he takes long naps.

Well, okay, okay, I will be able to get over it and play with him (we have already started to play together actually), but at first it was kind of scary: are the humans going to exchange us for this kitten, will my human keep on giving me treats, cuddles, and everything?

Milou didn’t want to get it at first. We both had to make it clear who was the Boss here (Hey Newbie, we were here first!).

All in all, Frisco is, I must admit, fun, and I will finally have a furry friend to play with. BUT, I say the humans could have asked (Gee, Milou is now hissing at everyone in the house again). For example, yesterday night, I surprised my human joyfully playing with the little fur ball. I was outraged! She saw that and tried to make up for it, but it was too late: no cuddles, no petting, no purring, no nothing but the back of disrespect! Was she going to replace me just like that?!

But today we played, both with the human and the kiddie so I think it might – might – be a good thing. If the kiddie stops eating food from my bowl! Ah kids!

    How nice of you to play with this little kitty! That’s a wonderful attitude. You’re a great kitty! I hope you’ll get along fine and that you’ll still have your quiet time, different from Frankie and Oprah [http://pitstexasexpatblog.wordpress.com/2011/12/09/gimme-five/] here after Mr. Pickwick arrived and became “the terror of the house”! ;) These two sometimes just want to get out of the house – something they didn’t want to before – to get away from our little one’s “attentions”. ;) But they’re still nice to him and just tolerate him, as does our big Sally.

  12. I know what you mean about the youngsters coming in.
    I played with The Princess when she first came, but I had to instil a bit of discipline too. People have no idea how hard and tiring it is for us to bring these little ones up properly.
    I did have a nasty moment when The Puffball came to stay, and stay, and stay… that it might be another responsibility for me but as it happens she was only a guest.
    Sigh of relief as I curl up in the sun for my nap.

  17. My adoptive piggy mummy, Pepper, probably felt the same way you do when my sister, Poppy, and I arrived. We were getting all of the attention from mummy too. But she grew to love us, and I’m sure you’ll grow to love Frisco too!

  19. First of all, congats on those awards and the winning of the giveaway you recieved Texas!
    It’s great to hear that Grouik’s page is coming soon! I’ve been waiting for it since you mentioned about it as I love Grouik! We look at his pictures at least once a day because his cuteness is irresistible! He is still in our thoughts!!!
    OMD! How wonderful that you have a new family member now, Texas! Frisco looks fab! So cute!

  20. I feel your pain my pal, we got a *shudders* puppy!! He STILL doesn’t get that I am in charge and he has to do what I say, including fetching my kibble and noms and toys for me so they are to paw when I finish napping!!!!

    I am living in hope he will learn!!

  22. Oh Texas! You’ve sure had a busy time in your household! Awards, new yummies from Fancy Feast, Grouik’s page and now a new guy on the block! Frisco is sure a cutie-pie and a big adjustment for your whole family I guess. He’s so tiny and as his next oldest brother you’ll need to take him by the paw and show him the routine and now to behave, etc. No doubt you’re ready for the challenge…..you look like you’re getting along with Frisco JUST FINE! Concatulations on EVERYTHING my friend……
