One of our cat sitters told us that our cat George used to put a catnip mouse in his water bowl when we traveled (Way back when Georgie was a solo cat). Our cat sitter decided that George was making catnip tea for his guest:)
Looks more like one of the kitties was trying to give the mouse on the bottom of the bowl someone to play with. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
Not the flat mousie! Cousin Spade likes to take all of his toys swimming – his Teddy ends up in the water dish at least once a day. And all his squeaky toys are no longer squeaky because he drowns the electronics. His sister, Cousin Gracie, does NOT approve of toys in her water dish.
My cat bro Bert eats his toy mice completely, but if he has one and he is thirsty, he puts it in the water bowl while he drinks which usually causes it to explode. Lucky for us, he is no longer allowed to have toy mice because it is too dangerous with him eating them.
no, now, I’m sure this is the start of some won’nerful soup or consommé. you french kittehs know how to eat, right? or mebbe it’s marinading. give it time. i’m sure it’ll be delishousness.
Well, Texas, I am sure *you* would never do such a thing. Gee, who else is ther ein the house that might want to drown your mousie?? Oh Moooooooommmmmmm!
hmmm… now it’s a river rat ;o)
MOL!

Ah! So maybe someone here did try to make catnip tea! I wonder who…
Mom snorted her coffee on that Texas!!
Sorry :-/
would you like another mouse with your thea ?
I actually heard that that is meant as a THANK YOU to whomever does the feeding :) Consider yourself rewarded :)
I like my catnip tea strong – please add another mouse or two! :D :D :D
Kitty Hugs, Sammy
Squirrels, they did it, they do everything bad. Have a super Sunday.
Best wishes Molly
Délicious! On en reprendrait volontiers!
What a delicious idea … I’m sure boiling water would have ensured the CatNip tea would have bee purrfect!

Well, George wouldn’t offer his guest anything that he wouldn’t enjoy too!
Avec un ti’ gateau, glop !
Perhaps he was just giving the mousie a bath? Cats are very clean creatures!
Do you think Kitshka has progressed from disemboweling to drowning? :D
MOL on the river rat!
A creative way to get your attention :-)
that is so funny..we will ever discover the culprit?
A heinous crime my dear…utterly heinous.
Xxoo
Time to call the FBI–Feline Bureau of Investigation!
I didn’t put the rat in the water.. who did?
Ick. I am glad neither Binga nor Boodie have this disgusting habit! I like my toys nice and dry.

C’est un accident de noyade pour cette pauvre souris !!!
Slinky, one of the cats-who-came-before, used to scoop kibble into her water dish. My Mommeh always said she was making kibble stew!
MOL! How long do you have to let that steep? :)
That is too funny…catnip tea! :-)
Thank Cod that was only a catnip mouse. We all know what happened to me when I “allegedly” killed a real mouse.
; ) Katie
Poor mousie!

ça me fait rire, je n’ai pas encore trouvé de jouet dans l’eau, mais je les retrouve dans des endroits insolites parfois.

Creative thinking though :-D
my miaolings love making mousie tea too. looks delicious!
Hee, hee! We drown hair ties and bread twists in our water bowl, but didn’t think of catnip toys. Thanks for the idea!

BOL, paw mousey!
10 seconds in the microwave and the mouse will be dry AND smells better than ever! ;)
Wow, that little mouse! Must be the drowned version of our garage pal :-)
Oink oink,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig
Maybe someBODY thought mousie was thirsty.
Silly thing :) Hmm, never thought of trying to make catnip tea. Sabre would drink himself into a stupor
Perhaps you have an engineer cat too, like Mr. Sunshine, who likes to run experiments.
Oh how fun to see there are moore cat´s out there that like their mousies clean :)
OH NO!
I have yet to have my cats do this, but now that I’m making their toys they definitely have more variety of friends for dunking lol
