Guess whose fault it is if we are late again…

The Now Bi-Annual Update
Dear Furriends,
I hope you are all doing fine. As you can notice, my human now seems unable to help me update my bloggie more than every 6 months or so. I’m thinking about starting a cat blogger union against such practices, what do you think?
In the meantime, I started a sit-in to force my human to work on my next post. Looks like this is working so far. Not sure how long I can keep her in one place though.
Otherwise, we’ve been keeping busy… me finding new comfy places to relax (does this pic make my tail look long?!)
…Kitshka daydreaming…
…and Milou being Milou too! (He still hisses when he sees me. My new policy is to slap him from time to time)
What have you been up to?
Happy Purrthday to Me! I’m 8!
Hiya my Furriends,
Sorry I have not been around. My human has been unwilling to help me much. Today is my purrthday so she “consented” to typing this post…
You’ll never guess what she said I’ll get for my birthday… She said she would help me visit you this weekend and maybe type some posts! I really cannot wait!
Milou and Kitshka are doing fine too, by the way! Milou has regained some of the weight he had lost because of his health issues =^.^=
Hope you will forgive me and wait for me while I wait for my human…
Many purrs to y’all!
Happy New Year Everyone!
The New Year is here and my human is already late. Can I have a change of human for 2014?!
Don’t look at me like that human, it’s your fault!
Anyway, we want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! For many reasons and for many people, we know that 2013 wasn’t a very good year. We lost many, many, too many furriends in 2013. So I wish for all of you that 2014 will bring happiness, purrs, health, nip, all that you expect and much much more!
In 2014, we hope to pursue all of the following activities:
Napping
Hiding
Making new Furriends
Napping
Playing
Sunbathing
Butt warming
Hiding
Napping
Roaring (when necessary)
Ignoring the humans
Getting the humans’ attention
Being gorgeous
What are you planning to do in 2014?
Wordless Wednesday: I Wonder if This Couch Could Be Any Whiter…
Milou Is Home!
A good update on Milou: not only did the surgery go well, Milou is healing well (and defecating normally) according to the vet, so the humans were able to bring him home today. The vet thinks that since he defecated normally immediately after the surgery, there are chances that he doesn’t have a megacolon! We’re keeping our paws crossed.
The humans visited Milou yesterday at the vet and although his (but)tocks were obviously bothering him (he has quite a few stitches and has been shaved on a good part of his tocks and the base of his tail), he seemed alert and happy to see his human.
He is now back home with a cone to prevent him from licking the stitches (which he tries to do despite the cone).
Thank you all so much for your support. Your are all so very good furriends and this is the best gift Santa Paws could send us!
Again, I apologize for not visiting (and answering to your comments) yet. My human will help me hopefully starting tonight and tomorrow.
Sending you all lots of purrs!
Update on Milou
Just a quick update: the surgeon called and said the surgery went well and Milou should be okay.
They are keeping him until at least Friday but the humans should be able to see him on Thursday.
Thank you all so much for your purrs and purrayers. Milou surely felt the love!
Milou Monday: Milou is at the Vet for Perineal Hernias
No Mondays are for Memories today, as the humans brought Milou to a specialist vet today to try to find out whether he had a megacolon and what could be done about it.
Again, thank you so much to everyone for stopping by and leaving links, advice, purrs, and purrayers. My human has learned a lot more about megacolon now! I hope to be able to come visit you again soon, as things get a little less busy.
The diagnostic today was that Milou has perineal hernias that have to be repaired. Basically and to keep it simple and short (may veterinarians forgive us!), the muscles that help the feces get out through the rectum are not working properly now, so Milou needs a surgery to repair them. The vet surgeon will use some other muscles in the pelvic region to repair the perineal hernias.
The vet could not say whether or not Milou had a megacolon yet though. Right now, he will only get treated for the perineal hernias (which is already a lot if you ask me). The vet surgeon is hoping that this will solve Milou’s problems and that he doesn’t have megacolon.
So the humans left Milou at the new vet today. He will get “cleaned” of all the stool currently in his colon before he has the surgery, maybe tomorrow, but most probably Wednesday. Of course, we are thinking a lot about him and we will be purring for him! I will keep you updated as we learn more.
Here are a couple of pictures of Milou, Kitshka, and I goofing around a few days ago! We are eager to be able to play with (and chase) Milou again!
Wordy Wednesday: Thank You
I want to say thank you to all my furriends who stopped by to send good wishes to Milou, and posted advice and links to pages about megacolon.
My human is going to read all of this during the weekend so she’ll be well purrpared for Milou’s appointment on Monday.
I also wanted to show you that we are keeping a close(d) eye on Milou (even though he is still, after all these years, hissing at me):
(Yes, my human is playing with Photoshop)
Thank you all! Purrs!
Kitshka Friday: We Want the Sun Back!
Hiya everyone!
Before I tell you what beautiful me is doing, I want to remind you that we have a giveaway for 2 Shelter Cat Dolls from Dream Pillow. Here they are:
Follow the link to yesterday’s post (by clicking on the image above) to discover what you have to do.
This is not a giveaway for catnip sticks, kitties (it seems some of you misunderstood. Easy on nip, kitties!). It is a giveaway for these 2 shelter cat dolls.
So, what have you been up to lately?
Today is a crappy day where we live.
Milou is at the vet again for, er, constipation issues. Nothing serious but I bet he is a bit tired of going to the vet regularly because of this (and surprisingly, we don’t get any reward cards for free treats for going to the vet regularly like the humans have in their stores! I think that is not fair!).
It’s been raining, and there is a LOT of wind outside, and it’s in the 30s (that’s a temperature of around 4C for our European furriends), which means nothing to see on TV that is much interesting. So we’ve been busy doing nothing Texas and I.
I found an abandoned blankie that is quite comfy on the couch. I made it mine, since it had been abandoned. Now if only the human could stop taking pictures. That’s the problem with rainy days: not only is there nothing on Bird TV, but the humans can’t go out to take pictures so guess who is being photographed?
What are your favorite activities when the weather is that bad and the humans can’t stop bothering you?
