Many of you already know that tomorrow is Milou’s purrthday.
Turns out that he already had his birthday gift. Well, let me tell you a (human) story.
When we moved from New York to Texas, the male human was sure that they would forget our water fountain if they didn’t pack it with everything else. But my (the female) human argued that we kitties’d rather keep our fountain until the end – right – and that they could not possibly miss the only thing that would be left in the house before they leave – wrong. My human messed up and realized when we arrived in our new house that the fountain had been left behind. So we went back to drinking in a bowl for a while.
Milou, who especially needs to drink but never does, seems to have found a new passion for drinking water here. Don’t worry, he’s not drinking more than normal, but he is drinking, period (in NY the humans had to add water to his food because he rarely ever drank from either the fountain, or the water bowl).
To keep a long story short – well kinda – Milou (and Kitshka and I) got a new water fountain for his purrthday. And now you expect to see a picture of the fountain.
Well no, for what is more important than the fountain? Exactly! The box it came in! Want to come and join us? We are having the biggest fun!

Could you guess that my human took pictures while lying on the floor? That was so easy to play with her too! Here are some photobombing pics!
Do you remember your first cat tree? I do!
It was all small (I mean for an adult cat, which I wasn’t at the time) and I loved it! It had a little cave, scratch posts and a huge circle I could use to travel around the tree.
Let me show you.
When I was teeny tiny, I could play inside the circle on top and try to catch the pompom! And yes, those were my toys at the time!
Did you have a tiny tree once?
I like to bite Texas’ ear. Tough love =^.^=
First things first:
My brother Texas was interviewed at Peace, Love and Whiskers. Click here to read the interview;
Have you seen the review we & the human have done of the book “The Life and Love of Cats”? Click here to go there.
Now, for serious Ladycat stuff…
Like I was explaining to Milou some time ago, it is impawtant to do some exercising to have a pawsome body (like mine).
Exclusively for you, here is my exercise routine. Remember to yawn and nap after each training session.
See this firm, though fluffy, tummy? You have my secret now!
The other day I found a super cool box…
Something is telling me I won’t be able to keep it to myself long though…
In French, the word “bookworm” can be translated into the expression “rat de bibliothèque” (library rat). Well, I’m certainly not a rat (!) or a worm (!!) but I’ve always loved books! I guess that makes me a bookcat!
These pics were taken when I was about 9 months old, at my human’s Mom’s home. I was on top the book case. You can click on any picture of the gallery below to biggify and get to the diaporama but first I want to show you something.
Can you see the wallpaper peeling a little near the ceiling? It was me! I wanted to be a home decorator at the time! And can you see my tail? That’s because my human thought I wouldn’t be a good home decorator! The nerve!
You will be able to see that on several pics I am watching my piece of art very proudly!
Speaking of books, my human and I will review a wonderful book on Thursday.
I also learned from Cat Wisdom 101 that April is National Poetry Month. It will finally (I say finally because this has been a project since last December!) be the occasion for a book giveaway linked to poems, drawings and… kitties of course! And this will be on Caturday!
So I wish everyone a great week and hope to see you all on these two days especially!
Not so long ago, when my human’s Mom sent me my favorite food for my purrthday, it was packed – you guessed it! – in a box. The box is from the French post office and it can be folded and unfolded.
Of course, it is not enough that the usual suspects would play with MY tunnel… some Mademoiselle has to get MY box too!
I was peacefully napping in my box when…
Who’s this? Is this Kitshka?
Yes, it is Kitshka…
Kitshka: Hiya Texas! Can I come play in your box?
Texas: No!
Kitshka: purrlease…
Texas: Seriously, no!
Kitshka: Come on…
Texas: Get out or I’ll bunny kick you out!
Kitshka: But we can both fit in it!
Texas: Out! Out!
Out out out!
Kitshka: Texas is being mean to me, sniff…
Texas: Awww… well, okay, let’s share the box…
Kitshka: Hooray!!
Texas: I think I’m gonna have to find me another box…
Kitshka: Don’t take so much room, Texas!
Texas: Yep, I need another box…
Hey, Texas!
Are you leaving?
I guess that means the box is mine then, right?
