Mondays Are For Memories: My Tent

When I was still living alone with my human near Paris, one day she brought back a super cool tent from the pet store.

I played and played in it, outside of it…

…alone or with my mousie!

I loved it to bits.

When we moved to America, I thought my human had thrown it away or it had been lost during the move.

But no! And my human resurrected it recently, when we moved to the state named after me!

I just love it still!

Although I am not the only kitty in the house anymore…

[Note from the human: this tent was given as a gift by my pet store, although I had not even bought Iams food. It is not very solid – in fact, Texas and now Kitshka, destroyed it many times, but Texas loves it so much that I keep on fixing it as I can. And to think I would probably never have bought it because I would have thought it to be not of such good quality!]

Mondays Are for Memories: Suitcases

I have a love-hate relationship with suitcases. While they are fun to play in and sometimes comfy to sleep in (especially when the human has already put clothes in one of them), they usually mean that the human is leaving for an undetermined number of days. Sometimes I might travel with her, though.

When I was younger, my human had to travel a lot, and I quickly understood that suitcases were not a good sign: they have the power to steal my human from me!

One day, to show my discontent, I peed in an empty one my human had left opened. You think my human would have thanked me for trying to prevent the suitcase from kidnapping her? Pfft, not even! She was not pleased at all!

So I tried different techniques, but mostly sit-ins. It never deterred my human from leaving :-/

Yes, human. It is your lingerie. Why?

Do you like suitcases and if not, do you have a technique to make them disappear?

Mondays are for memories: My first can of wet food and Milou trying to eat it

Hiya everyone!

Today is a holiday here in the U.S. It is Labor Day. So my human will be working for me, since it’s LABOR Day. Heh. Happy Labor Day, human. She’s happy with that apparently =^.^=

Here is a video of when I ate my first can of wet food. It was very yummy and I wasn’t about to let Milou eat it for me. Although my human bought even better food since then, like with entire pieces of tuna or chicken. But I digress.
I was almost 4 months at the time. It was in my human’s boyfriend’s tiny apartment in Paris.

It’s a bit long but Milou is patient and also, if you wait til the end, you can see that even Grouik had a hard time having a bit of my leftovers.

Enjoy Monday!

Mondays are for memories: The day my human adopted me – Part 2

Two weeks ago I had started a post about the day my human adopted me. Here is a video to complete it!

It is a video of me arriving in my new home. If you watch long enough, you will be able to see Grouik and the first time we met!

I hope you liked this little retrospective (vocab builder) =^.^=

Mondays are for memories: The day my human adopted me – Part 1

It’s nice to look back to happy memories sometimes. I recounted how my human adopted me.

Here are some pictures of my first days with my human and her then-boyfriend, now-husband, human, whatever. Since I was very cute and little (am still cute but a little bigger), my human nicknamed me “P’tite Crevette” (Lil’ Shrimp). She’s still calling me that today.

We have more pics but I will share them next week! Have a wonderful week everyone!

Look at me already exploring my new Grouik’s and Milou’s territory.

Oh, what are these? They look fun to play with!

So this is what my furry friends were talking about? A furrever home?

This is how small (and cute) I was (still am) (cute that is).

And finally for today, this is the picture my human put in my little passport. I was in the arms of my human’s Mom.

Mondays are for memories: Hiya! My name is Texas! What’s your name? Yes, you on the box!

Today I thought I would share some pictures of me from when I was much younger… a kid (a little less than 4 months old).

That was back in Paris, in my human’s husband’s (then boyfriend) apartment in Paris, dans le 18e arrondissement.

My human loves this picture very much. Actually she took several such pictures.

With, and without external light :-/

There was some activity going on on the floor (Milou, I guess).

At that point, I became bored.

And I decided I needed a nap ;-)

Wishing y’all an excellent week!
