Mondays are for Memories: Playing with Fruits

When I arrived at my furever home as a kitten, I was amazed at all the toys I could find in my human’s (soon to be mine) home.

One thing I found very exciting and funny was fruits that were around. Some could roll! Of course, it soon became forbidden (my human pretended that some fruits could be dangerous) – as was jumping and walking on the table to get to them. But I couldn’t care less.

Until the fruits disappeared from my sight. Hmph.

What was your favorite toy as a kitten?

  1. I was rather fond of stealing pens and pencils from the desk, my Mom’s drawing table – ANYWHERE I could find them. Half the fun was getting UP to the desk of course but kittens are natural climbers so that was no problem. I never played with fruit BUT now I’m thinking I should have given that a try too!

  3. I probably should not confess this, but as a kitten, one of my favorite toys (for about five minutes until my human discovered it) was a dried-up hairball that had somehow been missed! My human heard me talking to it and took it away!

  4. Our favorite toys were each other, and then, our human mom. We were only in the upstairs as little kittens, but she gave us little strips of paper to play with and we would play with them till they were completely gone.

  5. c’est rigolo les fruits,
Nos jeux préférés sont le plumeau, et la ficelle. et le tunnel pour le traverser comme une fusée ou se cacher.

  6. My humom thinks that my real mom must have neglected showing me how to play. I’m really not very good at it – not interested. But when my “dad” gets the laser light, THAT gets my attention!

PS You sure were a cute little kitten!!

  7. Aww, those look like great toys! Why would they disappear??
Neither of the kitties currenly living here were here as kittens.. Star was 2 and Leo was about 9 months. I know 9 months sounds like kitten… but he was already bigger than Star! He did like anything non-catnip, but recently he’s decided that nip is good stuff, lol

  8. We all arrived to our Momma home as full grown kitties.
Mom wishes she had photos of all of us as kittens, but…it wasn’t meant to be.

  9. I loved my kitty toys, especially dangly things on the end of strings. At first when I got here I was too scared to play but after a few weeks I loved it! XOXOXO

  10. While rubberbands are pretty cool, I still have my very first felt mousie. Nothing came take its place, its still my favorite, but it doesn’t look much like a mouse anymore.

  11. Round, rolling fruits look like fun toys to us, Texas! Mom and Dad gotcha’d us as older cats, so we’re not sure what we liked to do as kittens. But we like the Neko Flies Kragonfly now. :)

  12. Texas, your Mama was probably afraid you would eat the fruit and turn into a fruit ! You know what they say…. you are what you eat!! :p

We liked q-tips and little cat balls and twist ties and boxes. We still do!! :)
