Mondays Are For Memories: How Was I Supposed to Watch Bird TV?

One difference between France and the United States, from my observations, is that French humans tend to have drapes on their windows, while in America, I saw a lot of blinds.

In any case, what the humans do not realize is that when drapes or blinds are closed, it’s like humans wanting to watch TV while the TV is still in its box: we can’t see anything!
My human learned the hard way with her drapes back in France…

drapes

Yes, that’s me who did that =^.^=

And of course, I also had to find a solution for blinds when we were in New York! But guess what? She didn’t like my solution! The nerve!

It’s Caturday! Cat Mural in Paris, France

These past few months, my human has had the opportunity to take pictures of several beautiful murals that represent cats. What better mural than a mural with one or several kitties on it?

She first saw a couple of them, completely by chance, in New York (that I will feature next week), then she looked for more. She found out that there was one huge and gorgeous in Paris in France, in my place of birth! But of course she was not in Paris, neither could she do the trip at the time. So I asked my human’s Mom if she would agree to go take a picture of it. She kindly agreed!

Here it is! Thank you so very much to Janina.

The mural is in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, at the corner of boulevard Vincent Auriol and rue Nationale. The artist is C215.

Mondays Are For Memories: Featuring Milou

Mondays Are For Memories: Featuring Milou

I thought I would feature Milou today and seize the occasion to give you some news about his health.

He is doing better – thank Cod! – even if there is always the occasional down day. He is even playing a little bit with Kitshka sometimes (although he is still hissing at me…)!

He has not gained back much of the weight he had lost though. The humans were particularly worried when he had stopped eating because Milou has always been a big, hungry kitty. Of course, the goal is not for him to gain all his weight back, but a little more of what he has now would be better.

For now, and after discussing it with the vet, the humans have decided to not do the biopsy because the procedure is very intrusive and heavy, especially for a 14-year-old kitty. Milou is eating about normally and the humans are hoping he can gain some weight back now.

Here are pictures of Milou taken back in 2006, in Paris:

He was a little chubby, wasn’t he?

Now, of course, it was 7 years ago, but Milou lost most of his weight really recently. Here is a picture of Milou (sleeping in my bed!) my human took this morning:

My human thinks he looks so small!

So, we are keeping an eye and some purrs for Milou. I continue to test his food to make sure it is good enough and he will want to eat it too (What?! I do this for him!).

Finally, here are two rare, peaceful pictures of the two of us, back in 2006 too (yes, it is a bit unfocused):

In other news, if I get to move my human’s popotin, I will have my (and her) BlogPaws review posted tomorrow. Wish me luck ;-)

Purrs for a furriend from France

When I left France, I left some furry and human friends behind.

Here is Fripouille (which means something like “little monkey” in French), a neighbor. I wonder if she misses me. I do miss her sometimes, but then I remember I live with Grouik and Milou now, and I have to make sure neither Grouik nor Milou are eating my food, so I forget about Fripouille…

Thanks to my human friend Janina for the pics and purrs to Fripouille! And to Janina!
