Cats in New York: Whole Foods Tribeca Can Has Milk

My human works twice a week not far away from the Tribeca Whole Foods store, in Lower Manhattan, and here is what she saw the other day.

Texas a Cat in New York; cats; Whole Foods; Lil Bub; cat marketing; Tribeca; Manhattan; NYC

Again: cats rule =^.^=

Just a couple of comments for the Whole Food humans whose mission is healthy eating: we do agree that chocolate milk or cookies are no-nos for kitties, right?

Is it me or does the kitty looks a LOT like Lil Bub?

I want to go to the place called Manhattan

I want to go to the place called Manhattan

Hiya furriends!

Yes, we are still alive. No, the world has not ended for us either. And yes, we intend to keep on blogging. My human is now on holidays for about 10 days so I expect her to take care of me and my blog!

I was a little mad at her (not too much because otherwise, Santa Paws might not come…) because the place she goes to work, the mysterious place called Manhattan, takes a lot of her time.

First, she told me that she had the opportunity to meet the lovely Ingrid King of the Conscious Cat last Wednesday. I was a little jealous! I love the Conscious Cat and Ruby & Allegra! I was glad that Ms. King autographed her latest book, Purrs of Wisdom, to my human and me though! Purrs to you! And to Ruby & Allegra!

Also, my human has been updating her own blog with a daily picture of the place called Manhattan at the time of Christmas. I couldn’t care less really. At first. But the other day, she called me and told me: “Texas, look, I’ve got some pictures for you!”

It seems that several decorations in the place called Manhattan were about animals! Yes, really! Look at the selection below and click to have a bigger view, and my comments!

But I’ve kept the best for the end, kitties! The French jewelry brand Cartier has 2 gigantic… kitties! Well, okay, probably panthers (putting a paw on your hand so you would check this link – no, you don’t need to know French). But kitties are just apartment panthers, aren’t we?

So now that I see that there are plenty of interesting things in the place called Manhattan, I think I would like to go. Yes Kitshka, you can come with me.

What do you think kitties?

Rentaneko… neko neko… Who wants to rent a cat?

So our humans left us alone, Milou and I, Wednesday evening. To go to the movies!! Can you believe that?

Well, the truth is I understand why they did: they had the opportunity to see Rentaneko or Rent-a-Cat. What is so unfair is that us kitties couldn’t go.

My human has written a post about the movie on her own blog:

Rent-a-Cat is about a young woman running a business of renting cats to lonely people. The rented cat’s mission, she explains to her clients, is to mend the hole in their hearts. But Sayoko, the young woman, is also yearning to find her special someone.

Then she included a video about the movie. Here:

I am a bit jealous because I would have loved to have been able to see the movie. My human liked it very much, as did her husband, and she said she will buy the DVD if it is released. So we can watch it all together. But when?

Also, my human had the occasion to meet two nice ladies from two of my favorite blogs (after all, that is thanks to me if she found out about this movie!): Ms. Tamar from I Have Cat, who posted about the movie, and Ms. Layla from Cat Wisdom 101, who reviewed the movie. I also wish I could have met these two cat lovers and my human said they were very nice ladies and they all had a good time!

Sooooo while we wait for a DVD, err, we’re going to take a nap.

Go watch this movie if you can! The humans say it is worth it and for once I’m inclined (vocab builder) to believe them!

Oh, also my dumb human realized why these were called neko flies… We do deserve to dominate the world, don’t you think?
